The Tianchi Monster

The Tianchi Monster is a creature said to live in China's Heaven Lake (Cheonji in Korean). It's said to be a buffalo like creature, first spotted as early as 1903. Some people argue that there as as many as 20 of these monsters.  In 2007 on september 6th, a Chinese TV reporter said he had shot a 20-minute video of six unidentified creatures in the volcanic lake. The report says that there where 6 seal-like finned creatures in the lake swimming and frolicking for an hour and a half, before they disappeared. The reporter stated "They could swim as fast as yachts and at times they would all disappear in the water. It was impressive to see them all acting at exactly the same pace, as if someone was giving orders. Their fins—or maybe wings—were longer than their bodies." Little is known about this animal compared to other more researched animals such as the chupacabra or Bigfoot. I'll leave the news video here for the rest of you to decide whether or not you want to believe in this legend.

INSPIRATION

A place I find simply extraordanary is the Richmond animal protection society (RAPS), founded by Carol Reichert. She dedicated her life to the protection of animals in the Richmond area, and 20 years to spaying richmonds feral cat population keeping the cities cat population under control. RAPS is the largest shelter found on the NO. 6 road in richmond. Even having Rheumatoid Arthritis Carol still gets up every morning to help the animals.

This is RAPS' website it has an adoption page and info to help the animals. Lets all take a page from the book of Carol and help out the cats...and other animals to I guess.

How to pet your cat

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itft7WghNWQ
This video will show the basics of properly petting your cat.

A couple things to watch out for is if your cat is getting annoyed by the attention, cats enjoy the attention but not so much that they are smothered. Also take care to get a cat who likes the attention, a cat who doesn't like to be pet would probably not like the attention. Take care and go bond with your cat.
