"Calgary Humane Society shelters more than 5,500 homeless cats each year, many the result of owners’ failure to spay or neuter their pet. Nowdays people think "Oh someone else will take care of it" or "Its just animal" I even heard someone say "Animals dont feel pain" Now I am here telling you that this is not okay people have to help these cats, theres very few out there who are helping, its up to us internet. Please, help a cat in your neighborhood.

This video will show the basics of properly petting your cat.
A couple things to watch out for is if your cat is getting annoyed by the attention, cats enjoy the attention but not so much that they are smothered. Also take care to get a cat who likes the attention, a cat who doesn't like to be pet would probably not like the attention. Take care and go bond with your cat.
